Community groups
We are currently involved in a number of community projects to encourage residents and their families to get involved in their communities. The projects include:
- HC Cougars Football Club (under 11s football team).
- HC Streetdance (children and young people’s dance classes during holidays). Please see below for more information on this year's programme.
- MBA Cougars Basketball (basketball team).
- Residents' allotment group

Streetdance classes are back this summer!
Our ever popular streetdance classes are returning in August. Classes are open to young people and teenagers of all abilities , from absolute beginners to more experienced dancers. Professional dance tutors from Streetdance Productions will be helping the streetdancers to develop their skills, to learn new moves and to have fun!
Classes are free of charge and start on Monday August 15th . If your child / children are aged between 7 and 17 and would like to take part please contact Jon Thurlow on 01462 683307 or email jonthurlow@howard-cottage.co.uk to find out more.
Stop Press: Howard Cottage streetdancers have been invited to take part in the Dancemania 2011 streetdance show, featuring dance crew Nemisis - Britain’s Got talent finalists 2008. The show takes place at the Gordon Craig Theatre Stevenage on Saturday October 8th .
