New housing
We are proud of our vibrant housing development programme, and aim to build an average of 50 new homes a year. These new homes are for
• General needs rental – this is where we deliver our standard housing management and repairs service
• Shared ownership – this is where the resident buys a percentage of the home (usually 25 to 75 per cent) and pays rent on the remainder.
We work in partnership with local councils and with major national and local development partners to provide affordable housing across North Hertfordshire and parts of Bedfordshire.
All our homes are built to a standard that’s above the current building regulations requirement. Our latest homes also have a three-star rating on the Code for Sustainable Homes (level three), which means they have lower running costs through greater energy and water efficiency than homes that haven’t been built to the Code standard.

Our next housing development will be at The Limes at Ampthill , where we’ll be building three-bedroom and four-bedroom houses for rent and shared ownership.
