Living in a listed building
Some of our properties in Letchworth Garden City are listed buildings dating back to the early 1900s. The Government lists buildings that are of special architectural or historic interest, to protect them for current and future generations to enjoy, as part of the nation’s heritage.
If your property is a listed building, you may need to seek permission from us, North Herts District Council and Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation before doing certain types of repairs and alterations.
